Getting Started with Vynue
How Vynue works for clients, partners and venue hosts — from browsing to booking, paying a deposit, and getting paid after the event.
Last updated
Vynue is a booking platform for event talent and private venues. Clients book services and spaces for weddings, birthdays, corporate events, venue programming, and private celebrations. Partners and venue hosts list what they offer, set their own rates, and get paid after the event.
Three things make it different from finding someone through social media: prices are shown before you enquire, payment runs through the platform rather than a cash app, and Vynue holds the money until the booking is over.
How a booking works
Every booking follows the same five steps, whether you are booking talent or a venue.
- Find someone. Browse by occasion, category and city. Every listing shows a rate, a minimum booking length, and whether the account has been verified.
- Send a request. Pick a date, a start time and a duration. The total is calculated before you commit — there is no "message for pricing" step.
- Pay the deposit. A deposit confirms the date. The rest is charged automatically a week before the event.
- The host accepts. Most hosts have 24 hours to accept. Some have Instant Book turned on, which confirms immediately.
- The event happens, then payment is released. Both sides confirm the booking went ahead, and the host is paid.
While you wait for a host to accept, your card is authorised — not charged. If they decline, or do not respond within 24 hours, the authorisation is released and you are not charged.
If you are a client
You need an account, a payment card, and a date. Nothing else.
Read Booking Talent or Booking a Venue for what each flow asks for, then Payments & Deposits for exactly when money moves.
Before you book, check the host's cancellation policy. It is shown on the listing and again at checkout, and it is fixed at the moment you book — a host cannot change it on you afterwards.
If you are a partner
"Partner" covers everyone who performs or provides a service: dancers, musicians, bartenders, photographers, hosts and MCs. It is deliberately broad enough to include every kind of event professional on Vynue.
To start taking bookings you need to:
- Create an account and choose the partner role.
- Complete your profile — photos, rate, minimum booking length, service area and the categories you work in.
- Connect a payout account. Vynue pays out through Stripe, and clients cannot book you until this is connected and active.
- Wait for verification. Our team reviews every profile before it goes live.
You set your own rate, deposit percentage, cancellation policy and availability. See For Partners.
If you are a venue host
Venue hosts list a space rather than a service — a loft, a bar, a studio, a private room. The flow is the same as for partners, with three differences:
- Venues default to a 50% deposit, because a held date costs you more.
- Your exact address is never public. Listings show an approximate map pin, and the real address is released to the client only once the booking is confirmed.
- You can list more than one space under a single account, each with its own calendar and rate.

What Vynue charges
Clients pay exactly the host's listed rate — no fee is added on top or shown at checkout.
Vynue's platform fee is deducted from the host's payout after the event, not from what the client is charged.
