For Partners

Listing your services on Vynue as a dancer, musician, bartender, photographer or host — setting rates and deposits, getting verified, and how payouts work.

Last updated

"Partner" covers everyone who performs or provides a service on Vynue: dancers, musicians, bartenders, photographers, hosts and MCs. The term is deliberately broad because the platform includes every kind of event professional.

Getting set up

  1. Create an account and choose the partner role.
  2. Complete your profile — photos, rate, minimum booking length, service area and the categories you work in. You can work in more than one.
  3. Connect your payout account. Vynue pays out through Stripe. Clients cannot book you until this is connected and active — this is the most common reason a new listing gets no enquiries.
  4. Get verified. A person reviews every profile before it goes live. See Verification.

Until you are approved you cannot start a conversation with anyone. This stops unverified accounts cold-messaging clients — and it means approval is worth chasing rather than waiting out.

What you control

SettingWhat it does
RateHourly, or a fixed-price package. This is what you receive
Minimum booking lengthRequests below it are rejected before payment
Deposit10–50%, defaulting to 25%. Locked to each booking when made
Cancellation policyFlexible, Standard or Firm — see below
Instant BookAccept automatically instead of reviewing each request
AvailabilityBlocked dates and recurring days off, both enforced

The client pays exactly your listed rate. Vynue's platform fee (9% by default) is deducted from your payout after the event — see our fee structure.

Requests and the 24-hour window

When a client requests a date, their card is authorised and you have 24 hours to accept. If you do not respond, the request expires and the authorisation is released.

Responding quickly matters more than it looks: an expired request is a client who booked someone else. If you cannot commit to reviewing requests promptly, turn on Instant Book and manage your calendar instead.

Getting paid

You are paid after the event, not when the client books.

  • Both sides confirm it went well — paid immediately
  • Only one confirms, or neither — paid 72 hours after the booking ends
  • Either side reports a problem — held until our team resolves it

You cannot release your own payment by confirming alone. Both sides are required for early release, which is exactly what lets Vynue promise clients their money is held.

Cancelling a booking

Think carefully before you do. When a host cancels:

  • The client is refunded everything they paid, whatever your policy says
  • You bear the card processing fee, recorded against your account and recovered from your next payout
  • Cancelling has escalating consequences for your account — a warning the first time, up to loss of Instant Book, reduced visibility, or suspension for repeated or late cancellations

If a date becomes unreliable, block it rather than accepting and cancelling later. See What happens if I cancel as a Partner? for the full consequence ladder and the emergency exception, and Cancellation Policy for the client side.

Building a listing that books

  • Real photos of you, not the genre. This is the most common reason a verification review stalls.
  • Say specifically what you provide — how long, what is included, what you need on arrival. Vague listings attract mismatched bookings, and mismatched bookings become disputes.
  • Answer questions in writing, on the platform. It protects you as much as the client if the booking is later disputed.
  • Reviews are blind. Neither side sees the other's before writing their own, so an honest review cannot be retaliated against.

Your safety

You are entitled to leave a booking that is unsafe or materially different from what was agreed — report it rather than simply leaving, and the payment can be frozen while it is reviewed. Read Safety before your first booking.
