Planning an event
Book the venue first. A date is easier to fill with talent than talent is to fill with a date.
Budget for the total, not the hourly rate. Most listings have a minimum booking length, so the total is the listed rate times that minimum, not the rate alone. The checkout summary shows all of it before you commit.
Book earlier than feels necessary. Weekend and holiday dates go first, and booking inside a week means your deposit and balance land almost together — the balance is charged seven days before the event.
Read the cancellation policy before you pay, not after. It is on the listing and again at checkout, and it is locked to your booking from that moment.
What protects you
- Every partner and venue is reviewed by a person before going live
- Your money is held by Vynue until after the booking, not handed over up front
- Venue addresses stay private until a booking is confirmed
- A problem reported within 72 hours of the event freezes the payment

If something goes wrong
Report it on the booking before the 72-hour window closes — that freezes the payment while it is reviewed. Once a payout has been released there is nothing left to freeze. See Disputes.
